Welcome!

Snohomish County is growing fast—and the choices we make now will shape our future for decades. I’m running for Charter Review Commissioner in County Council District 3 to ensure our county government reflects the values we share: sustainability, equity, and stewardship.

Why I’m Running

The Charter Commission meets only one year every ten. It’s our chance to ask: what’s working, what’s not, and what’s missing. The Charter Commission proposals go to voters in 2026, making this a once-in-a-decade opportunity to align/re-align local governance with community values.

My focus is on responsible growth, climate-conscious planning, fair representation, and open, transparent government. I believe we can shape a future where Snohomish County grows sustainably, protects critical natural areas, expands affordable housing, and listens to community voices every step of the way.

Priorities / Issues

  • Climate & Growth: Align land use with climate goals; protect natural areas.

  • Representation: Expand fair, district-level representation.

  • Transparency: Strengthen accountability and open government.

  • Housing & Equity: Support affordable, equitable housing options.

  • Community Voice: Ensure every resident has a role in shaping policy.

About Me

I bring hands-on experience in collaborative leadership—knowing when to lead, when to listen, and how to build consensus that delivers results. I’ve served on Lynnwood’s Comprehensive Plan advisory board, worked with local Democratic organizations, and advocated for urban forestry. These experiences have deepened my commitment to smart growth, sustainability, and inclusive governance.

I have lived and worked in Snohomish County for over 30 years as a Lynnwood resident, raising my children here and now have the opportunity to see my grandchildren grow here as well. I have actively participated as a member of the League of Women Voters in environmental advocacy, and voter's rights, education and registration, and served as a board director. I am a former City of Lynnwood Comprehensive Plan Community Advisory Board member (2022-2024), and currently serve on the Snohomish County Climate Action Advisory Committee (2024-2025). I have advocated for urban forestry, rain gardens, rural Legacy Forests and watershed protections (2012-2025).

I am driven as a life-long learner and on that journey I have earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington, and a MSc in Project Management from City University of Seattle. I also earned a certificate from the UW in Facilities Management, and achieved and maintained professional certification in Project Management (PMP) for 17 years while working in Business Operations at Boeing Airplane Programs.
